Let us not forget that the operative word in social media is “social”.  The people you are interacting with, engaging with and calling to action require two-way communication.  You are telling them what you want them to know but you must also listen and respond to what they are saying back to you.  If your online audience does not think you care about them, or if there is no reward or benefit, the overwhelmed consumer will looked else where and you may have lost them forever.
